The Limelight Film Awards is the largest independent short film awards ceremony, which specifically identifies emerging film talent. The annual red carpet‐paparazzi covered gala, with champagne reception takes place on the 14th of June attended by over 500 film makers, celebrities and film / media personalities.
The 2012 nominations includes 14 awards categories, alongside the prestigious ‘Film of the Night’ category with the £10,000 production award.
Entertainment will also include a number of performances from talented artists followed by a networking and after party session to close the night with a DJ spinning the records whilst you can hit the dancefloor
Limelight is paving the way in identifying emerging British film makers while helping to strengthen the industry. Running since 2008, previous hosts include Konnie Huq (Blue Peter, Xtra Factor) in year 1, Ameet Chana (Bend it Like Beckham, Eastenders) and by Kat (Choice FM, MTV), Limelight Film Awards is recognised and supported by many film organisations, government and educational institutions, media agencies and celebrities.
The two hour awards ceremony highlights nominated films and winners are presented with a gong from a member of the film, TV or media industry, which is entertainingly fused with performances by emerging and established artists. A networking / after party follows as the DJ spins the tracks in to the night.
